Every Human Transport Agreement

This agreement is in place to ensure that workers are aware of the responsibilities of using their own vehicles for the purpose of transporting clients and completing services. This Agreement also outlines the use of company vehicles and fuel cards.

Responsibility of Workers

Workers will: 

  • Maintain a current driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle they are driving.

  • Obey all relevant road rules when driving.

  • Advise key management of any incidents that occur.

  • Advise key management of any changes to their driver’s licence, e.g., suspensions or disqualifications.

  • Not drive while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  • Not smoke when transporting participants.

  • Not use a mobile phone while driving unless with a hands-free device, dependent on licence conditions.

  • Not use a mobile phone navigation system while driving unless voice-activated, dependent on licence conditions.


Personal Vehicle Maintenance

Workers must ensure that the personal vehicle being used is:

  • Registered and in a safe and road worthy condition,

  • is  insured  with at least third-party property insurance but comprehensive insurance is prefered, and Must ensure that the poicy is curent and valid.

  • is kept clean of rubbish,dust,pet hair and  does not smell of cigarettes.

  • When using your car for transport it must be maintained and clean before evershift.

  • Never use a mobile phone while driving unless with a hands-free device, dependent on licence conditions.

  • Never use a mobile phone navigation system while driving unless voice-activated, dependent on licence conditions.


Company Vehicles and Fuel Cards

  • The fuel card must only be used for the allocated vehicle. Each vehicle has its own card.

  • Each vehicle must be filled using either 95 or 98 unleaded petrol ensuring the tank does not fall lower than 1⁄4 full.

  • The vehicle must be returned after each use with a full tank. (See attached list of acceptable petrol brands)

  • Each vehicle must be returned in the same condition, any damages are to be reported ASAP.

  • Smoking is prohibited in All company vehicles.

  • All company vehicles have been fitted with GPS and safe driving monitoring systems.

  • Never park in a disablied parking unless you have a participant with you.

  • When transporting a participant and using a disability park ensure you have the company permit displayed on the dashboard.

NDIS Code of Conduct Policy

The NDIS Code of Conduct sets the standards for how the organisation carries out provision of NDIS supports and services for all representatives including key management personnel, directors, full timeworkers, part time workers, casual workers, contractors and volunteers. 


Who does the NDIS Code of Conduct apply to? 

The NDIS Code of Conduct applies to: 

  • registered NDIS providers and their employees

  • unregistered NDIS providers and their employees

  • providers delivering information, linkages, and capacity building (ILC) activities.

  • providers delivering Commonwealth Continuity of Support Programme services for peopleover the age of 65.

The Code also applies to NDIS Commission employees in addition to the Australian Public ServiceCode of Conduct. 


Code of Conduct 

To support the privacy and confidentiality of individuals: 

  • act with respect for individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination anddecision-making in accordance with applicable laws and conventions

  • respect the privacy of people with disability

  • provide supports and services in a safe and competent manner, with care and skill

  • act with integrity, honesty, and transparency• promptly take steps to raise and act on concerns about matters that may impact the quality andsafety of supports and services provided to people with disability

  • take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to all forms of violence against, andexploitation, neglect, and abuse of, people with disability

  • take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct.
